Annual production capacity for this line is 2.5 million pieces. The co***ny also manufactures cooler bags, trolley luggage, fishing bags, cosmetic bags and shopping bags. Exports of backpacks in 2004 reached$3.6 million. An increase of about 10 percent over the previous year.
The co***ny exports all its output. Main overseas markets include United States, France, Germany and Hungary, OEM and ODM orders account for 70 and 30 percent of production respectively. US-based ADS is one of the major customers.
Dongyang Wanda plans to double export volume to $6000,000 to add 100 new sewing machines and hire 100 additional sewing workers in the coming months.
